One Plant Multiple Profit center

Dear Gurus,

As per our business requirement, we have started new product line for which profitability needs to be shown different.

In short i want to configure two profit centers under one plant so that sales can be differentiated.

Please let me know the step by step process for the same.

Hi Joel,

there is no direct relationship between profit center and plant. However, both are assigned to company code.

Therefore, if you assign your profit center to the same company code as the plant, then there will be no problem.

What you have to do, is to ensure that you assign your new profit center correctly in the material master. It's the profit center assigned to the material master that flows to sales and subsequent document (as long as you have no exits / substitutions in place)
