Hi Experts,

May i know what is the difference between Authentication type & Active directory authentication while creating user id, suppose if i select Authentication type i'm able to see the password & password confirmation option but if i select Active directory authentication password & password confirmation is disabled ?

Suppose by mistake id has been created with active directory authentication, will it be possible to change from active directory authentication to authentication type ?

Best Regards,

Repakula Manoj

Hello manoj.kumar161 ,

The security functionality works as expected: "Basic Authentication" means that login and password are set in the application, "Active Directory" means that that security info is taken from Windows Active Directory service (so there is no need for separate login and password pair).

You can't change authentication type or the user name once the user have been saved.

Olga

manoj.kumar161, I'm sorry for misinforming you, you can't change authentication from AD to Basic once user has been saved. As a workaround you can create a new user with Basic authentication. Please see note 2462341
