Total quantity in Sales Order and Delivery

Dear All,

We have a requirement to display, total quantity of all the Items in Sales Order(VA01) and Delivery(VL01N).

The sub total of quantity should be shown according to UOM of the items.

As we have checked requirement cannot be achieved in Standard system.

Can we achieve the requirement to show total quantity in VA01 and VL01N by adding extra tab.

What is the best option for our requirement.

Do we have some standard BADi or Exit which will help to have extra tab in VA01 to show total quanity of all the items without access key.

The customer want to know this?

I do not know the requirement but probably you could easily show that information in a form if there is one.

If not, I would consider using an exit when saving the documents so that a header text is mantained where you have:

"UOM code -> quantity"

With the extra-tab solution you will need as many fields as different UOM's you might use and that seems a poor solution since new UOM codes can be created.

Not clear what exactly your requirement is. What do you mean by "Total quantity" ?
