Does change in length of MATNR field in sap s4hana from 18 to 40 have an impact in SAP BW on Hana ?

Hello Everyone,

Recently we have migrated from ECC to S4hana system and here we have came to know that the field MATNR length has been changed from 18 to 40 . I wanted to this change will have an impace in SAP bw on hana environment where the field length has been maintained as 18. Can we go forward and change the length of the MATNR field in BW to 40. Does it have any impact in BW environment ?
