Inactive Customer master fields in Item data

Hi SD Gurus, I have two different Sales Doc type. My question is that if entering a specific material in both the document and then going for item data fields by double clicking it --- Order Data tab fields are active in one document and Inactive in other. I want to make it active in other as well. Also attaching screen shots of both document type. Please guide on how to do this. Urgent please.

Your Order types are different with the Item categories involved here.

One is REN-Which is regular returns with delivery(I hope you are using reference concept for your return order-Normally in this case standard system give display option on order data tab for getting the data from source document)(What system is doing when you are creating return order without reference)

The other one is G2N-Credit memo request without delivery (might be creating without reference) -check that as well.

If both are not applicable -then definitely some customization at your client to behave like this-Please talk to Your Abaper for better help.

if you check VOV8 and also the checkbox "Enter PO number" is clicked by both, maybe there is an UserExit a reason. You can check if it code in the following form: Transaction SE80 - Program SAPMV45A - expand Subroutines and search for USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION. Is there any active code (not greyed out), let us know.

Execute VOV8, select the document type where you can see the said field under the tab "Transaction flow"

Hi, thanx once again for your immediate response. Pl guide which option to select. I have done this with the same the one is reflecting in active fields. But still the issue is there. Pl guide further.

Check your document type configuration where there would be a field Function code Overview screen.
