Settled Consumption Value Reversal Restriction

Dear Gurus,

Greetings..!

We have an issue where the users are reversing the consumption value even after the value is settled to AUC. Users are not aware of the settlement and reversing the entries of consumption which are made by mistake. Usually the service/material consumption values are posted to WBS and settled to AUC. Business now need the restriction of reversal of consumed values which are settled. Please show a way Gurus.

Best regards,

Vijay

    Hi Vijay,

If users are reversing wrong consumption, means they do the right thing. Does not matter if those been already settled to AuC, next time it will settle the credit balance and AuC balance will also be reduced.

    Regards,

    Paulo

    • Dear Paulo,

Thank you. But the business requirement is like this, the consumption reversal should not be allowed until and unless the corresponding settlement is reversed. Please suggest me a way.

The roll back sequence can be very important, but not in this case. Moreover I believe you cannot reverse AA settlement from last fiscal year. Think about process exceptions. Honestly no idea how such dependency can be build.

    • MM goods issue to WBS and WBS to AuC settlement are completely independent things from transactional perspective. You can always talk to SAP, but I would not expect much. As I wrote before I would not recommend reversing AuC settlements unless that is absolutely necessary, instead you settle credit amounts from WBS to AuC. What you are trying to do is unnecessary complication with additional risks. No point to spam the system with additional line items.
