Packing material determination during production order receipt on RF

Hi Gurus,

We are using standard RF transaction to post GR 03->04>06>04

Here we don't want to use the option of determining the packing material from work center.

So thought of using the pack spec to determine packing material, but that is not helping to determine packing material on the RF. Did any one come across this

Would it be possible to get the packaging specification from the pack_specifications automatically without maintaining in the work center in RF?

AFAIK the determination procedure we are talking about here is maintained in the warehouse number controls (/SCWM/T340D), not in the work center. Apart from that, there's no option unfortunately, the system will always propose the "biggest" AME if it doesn't determine a packaging specification.

If packing specification has been setup correctly, most likely conditional record is missing. Check the condition record and condition table / Access Sequence / Condition type and Determination Procedure from SPRO - EWM - Master Data - Packaging Specification - Determination of Packaging Specifications.
