SAP ABAP Report as source for Analysis for office

We are having some existing reports built using ABAP code (SE38 program). We want to move the reports to Analysis for office without additional development or minimal development. The ABAP report prompt and the report output data should come in Analysis for office.

1) Can we use the ABAP report (SE38 program) as source for Analysis for office?

2) What options are available with minimal development to move the ABAP report to Analysis for office?

Hi - only Crystal Reports can consume ABAP ALV as a data source, if you are on a certain release/support pack

For Analysis Office, you can set up infosets and make those available to Analysis Office. See https://blogs.sap.com/2012/03/25/what-are-transient-providers/

Hi Tammy, I was thinking of Infoset but that would need additional development and code change to make it available for infoset. Can we have infoset as a source for analysis for office or I have to create BEx query on top of infoset?

I think Analysis Office works better with a BEx query on the InfoSet
