BO 4.1 promotion issue with date prompts

Promotion Management job in 4.1 to 4.2 is causing Date Formats in input prompts to change from mm/dd/yy to mon/dd/yy this is causing error in BI Launchpad only. We are promoting Crystal rpt files and do not know why CMC is different from BI Launchpad.

After I open it in local Crystal designer, and save it back in the repository, it behaves fine. But when promoted to QA server, it is reverting to mon/dd/yy format and throwing an error at input itself. How do we get around this?

Which service pack of 4.2 are you promoting to and has it been patched? I seem to recall this being an issue at one point that was fixed by a patch but I don't remember the details.

The service pack is

SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.2 Support Pack 4
Version: 14.2.4.2410

Can we know which patch would fix it?

I think I recall that this issue did occur with the base install of 4.2 SP4. Each patch is cumulative (containing all of the previous patches) so I would just install the latest one which, for 4.2 SP4 is patch 13.

Also , now am seeing random failures for even non-date parameters.

what you do is you isolate what exactly and how exactly happens.
What are the differences in configuration/settings between environments.
Is the issue due to promotion itself or due to environmental differences.
