CAn we Install Lumira Designer on the same server that we have Design Studio?

Dear All,

We need to install Lumira Designer on our BO server (Windows machine) where we have installed also Design Studio.

I want to know is it possible to install both of them on the same verison of Windos?

If yes after installing Lumira Designer can we still open and modify the dashborads that have been created via Design Studio 1.6? Or should we install the minimum version of Lumira Designer?

Thanks as always.

Actually we can not migrate our dashborads to lumira designer since we have used lots of custom objects that are not supported on lumira designer. these are our custom components that if we want to migrate to lumira designer we need to delete all of them or I do not know what else can we do.

So if we install Lumira designer on the same server, we can not use design studio anymore, am I right?

I don't see why you cannot use it; mind you I tried this on older versions many moons ago

Sorry I did not understand you very well. you mentioned that we will need to migrate your Design Studio apps to Lumira Designer.

I mean If we install Lumira designer on the same server of Design studio, without migrating to Lumira Designer can we still modify our old dashboards via Design Studio?

Yes, to your latter question; I was able to do this on the 2.0x versions. I haven't tried it recently

Just one question, I want to know do you know if there is a note of SAP that is saying we can modify the Design studio dashboard 1.6 SP4 after installing Lumira Server?

Our client asked us for a note of SAP.
I searched but I did not find anything

I'm not familiar with any such note. Keep in mind my situation was on old versions. I recommend trying this on your versions in a sandbox environment first.
