Crystal Reports XI R2 - Excel as a Data Source

Good Morning,

I have a report I am trying to Publish to our Report Application Server that uses Oracle and an Excel File as Data Sources. The excel file is stored locally on the Server in a Folder on the C Drive. The Report works fine from the InfoView and CMC along when ran from the Developer. However, when I try to run it from our Reporting WebSite passing the Parameters to the RAS Server I get an error about Logon Failed. I know it is the Excel file because when I remove it the report runs fine but it fails when ran with the Excel File as a Data Source. I am using the Database Type: Access/Excel (DAO) pointing to the file on the C Drive. Any help in getting this to work would be GREAT. The RAS Service is run as a Local Service Account and I have given access to the Folder and File not only to that account but to the EVERYONE Group.

We are using URL Reporting.

If I understand correctly, your reporting web site is a site you've written using the SDK to run reports. Is that correct?

If it is, what is your code for displaying the reports? Are you using OpenDocument or URL Reporting? Or are you using the CrystalReportViewer class?
