Extracting "User Name" and "Service" for all secured connections from IDT

How can I extract "User Name" and "Service" for all secured connections from Sap Businessobject Business Intelligence 4.0 Information design tool? These data are not written in central repository, so I can't obtain them from the administration tool "query builder". I read that with sdk it is possibile to query them but I don't know any development language....can someone help me?

You can explore some paid tools like 360 to extract this kind of information if you are not familiar with any programming languages like Java or .net.

Actually, the information is available in QueryBuilder.

    Select * from CI_SYSTEMOBJECTS where SI_KIND like '%DataConnection'

Look for SI_METADATA_PROPERTIES and then SI_METADATA_BVCONN_USERNAME. Also look for SI_CONNECTION_NETWORKLAYER and SI_CONNECTION_DATABASE.

    • There are at least two types of connections - look for '%DataConnection' instead of 'CCIS.DataConnection'. Each type has different properties.

I'm going to look back through some code that I've written with the SDK to see whether I can find anything else for you.

Ok Dell, I repeated query as suggested but I found only 8 objects in adding to previous extraction, of 'MetaData.DataConnection' kind and unfortunately all of them have 'SI_METADATA_BVCONN_PASSWORD' and 'SI_METADATA_BVCONN_USERNAME' empty. :-(
