Material at line item...

IN creation of sales order, I have my company material in the line item, which consist of 6  character but we recently acquired other company

and they have 18 char  material. The resolution I am looking is - I want to insert

18 char material in the sales order line item AND if yes then how? IF I am able to save the order, I would like to see the corresponding of my 6 Char

at header level, so user should be aware what corresponding material has been placed.

IS there any field exit for this kind of scenario? Yes  person can do the customization but from OM side I was wondering what can be done and then I can hit my spec's

Hi,

Did you try with an option of SD Material group 1,2,3,4,5 in sales order line item?

Please check with your MM consultant and maintain ID and description under the below path :

Material Master>Settings for Key Fields>Data Relevant to Sales and Distribution>Define Material Groups
