Functionality of CORUPROC1

Dear Techies,

We are using Program CORUPROC1 as a part of a Scheduled Job. I did a quick investigations on this subject and understood that it is related to the Confirmation of the Production orders at Operation level.

But I would like to understand exactly what it does in the Background. Does this Program actually does the Confirmation in the system? Also would like to understand does the CORUPROC1 program create the Idoc type "PPCC2PRETTICKET"?
