ECTR Autocad Mechanical Integration - Bom Update vs ECM - Behaviour on unchanged position when update a BOM with ECN

Dear Expert, I have a problem related to the BOM Creation from Autocad Mechanical via ECTR and historical management of the BOM

The problem is that, when I Update a BOM from Autocad via ECTR with a change number, all the position of the BOM are considered created/changed with the new change number.

In other ways, it seems that the system each time:

- Deletes all the BOM position (the ones with the CAD indicator)

- Creates all the BOM position as new ones

I expected that only the new position (or the changed one) are related to a new ECN, when I change a BOM

In our scenario we use ACAM 2016 with ECTR 5.1, and we implemented the note 2107230 related to the “Find_existing_items” method.

Here the steps that describe the behaviuor:

  1. I Create a new ACADM Drawing
  2. I Create a Material Master related to the Drawing via ECTR
  3. I put a part reference in the drawing, and assign a material master "MAT1" to this part reference
  4. I create the BOM via ECTR (from the autocad command), using a change number "ECN1" -->the bom has 1 position, with material master "MAT1" with validity of ECN1
  5. I release the Drawing, and create a new version
  6. On the new version of the drawing, I create a second part reference, and I assign a material master "MAT2" to this part reference. I do not change anything on the first part reference
  7. I Update the BOM via ECTR , starting from Autocad, using a new Change Number ECN2 -->the bom has 2 position, boths related to the ECN2; the expected behaviour is that the first position (that has no changes) is not "changed and recreated" with ECN2

In this way, the user cannot see directly what change on a BOM from one ECN to another

There is any parameter from ECTR side that drives this behaviour?

Any suggestion appreciated

Best Regards
