Attachment folder restriction for particular user

I want to restrict the attachments open for one particular user with particular document.

please help me.

If you upgrade to 9.1, then you can define attachment folder each user under User Default.

Dear Team,

My actual requirement is

currently we have shared folder in server and we are attaching files to all documents like PO,SO.

I need to block some particular SAP b1 user to access PO attachments or So attachments.But other documents attachments they have to see also.

Hi Ajith,

Two thing is required for the best Practise :

1. All the Files of all the users has to be stored in the Server with Shared Property.

2. All the Path in the general setting for all users has to be mapped with that particular Shared Folders of the Server.

In SAP , the File management system is very important, if you want to view the File as attachment throughout the Network Location.

Check the user able to access the Share folder

put your file to be attached in the default share folder . its called B1Share. to access it

\\ server name \b1_shr

Provide the full permission of B1shr Folder.

Hi Ajith,

You may control access to folders and/or files by setting rights to them in Windows.

This will only work if the user in question is using their own Windows user profile to login to Windows.
