Hi All,

I am working on support project.

In one of teh workflows am working on SUbworkflow not visible within subworkflow from SWDD but visible in technical log.

May i kindly know how this is possible?

ALso when i match these subworkflow number found in technical log with other subworkflow in SWDD with , it doesnt match for example 10 has sub workflow 11 and 11 has 12 as per technical log but when navigated though SWDD, same workflow number and workflows doesnt appear.

Can anybody kindly guide why this is so.

Regards,

SD

Hello SD,

within the Workflow Design (in the Workflow Builder) you can specifiy on any step's details, if the step is shown in the

  • User's log (Active X)
  • Technical protocol only
  • Or in the User's log until it's completed (for Workitem steps only)

The default for container operations is: Do not show in the User log

The default for any activities, including background steps is: Do show in the User log.

However and not commonly used, one can change this behaviour also for SUB-WORKFLOW steps, which is nothing else than an activity of type F (flowitem).

So when you looked at the activity step definition for the Sub-Workflow you will find the setting "Show only in technical workflow log" selected.

I personally use this "Hiding" for such Workflow initialization steps, to clean-up the user protocol.

Best wishes

Hi,

Also check which version of workflow instance is  there in workflow log.  Might this is running on older version.  But in new version , subworkflow not    present

Hi SD,

If the sub workflow is there in the workflow log means it should be there in the workflow design as well.

Kindly note down the node no. of the subworkflow from the log and then check the same in the workflow template of the main workflow.
