PCo Connector in Error (Agent is stopped) state

Dear Experts,

I am connecting Simatec OPC to MII via PCo tool.

I have a separate server on which OPC and PCo is installed.

MII server is different in the same domain. I could able to execute PCo Management URL from MII Server after the port 50050 got open.

then i started configuring PCo connector and reached almost to the end point . but when i save it and seeing status , it shows in error. though i have mentioned agent IP and PCo management URL with Fully qualified domain names.

Next step i did ,to install MII on the same server which has PCo and OPC installed , and surprisingly with the exact same steps i did do to configure in MII server ,it worked with no issues.

screenshot attached of MII server.

Please guide what i am missing.

Hi,

Before creating the PCO connector in MII add the PCO server IP address as an exception in

Menu.jsp --> System Properties --> Proxy Configuration --> Bypass List

once done then try creating the PCO connector and you should be able to fetch the agent list and see it in MII. After saving this remove the Bypass List setting so that MII server will be working fine as earlier.

Hi Ayush,

  • Try adding the proxy bypass filter like *.*. You would find this in System Properties screen in MII.

    Thanks,

Hi Ayush,

  1. Make sure PCo Agent Instance is properly configured with a defined MII Connection and Port on the Agent Instance Query Ports tab in Management Console. Note: Query Ports have to be unique on PCo.
  2. Make sure that the Port address defined above is not blocked either at PCo or MII Firewall, or on any router hop between MII and PCo Servers.
  3. Make the PCo Agent Instance is started and is running -- confirm through PCo Management Console.
  4. Check the MII Netweaver logs to see if there are any communication errors (socket errors) from MII when trying to connect to PCo.
