Hi All,
Is there any linkage between Exception Codes and Process Types?
I have a scenario where in, I want to change destination bin during confirmation of WT for Process Type 3010 and in order to do this, I want to select CHBD exception code. But, when I try to see the list of exception code during WT confirmation, I see only DIFS and DIFW listed. The internal process code assigned to DIFS & DIFW is DIFF. Can I change DIFF to CHBD for my Warehouse in config? I don't think it is advisable, however, I want to know expert advice on this.
Moreover, can someone suggest, how do I get CHBD in the list of exception codes for WPT 3010 during WT confirmation?
Thanks,
Ravi

Hi Jobi,
Thanks for your reply. I have already check this in config node. However, my issue is: I have a WT with WPT 3010 and my requirement is to change the Destination Bin. In order to do this, I am going to exception code to select CHBD (change Destination Bin). However, I cannot see CHBD in the list and I only see DIFS & DIFW exception codes in the list.
I am afraid, unless I select CHBD, I cannot change my Destination bin before confirming WT. May I know why I am not seeing CHBD in the list? Am I missing some config here? Please advice.
Hello Ravi,
Exception code is a new feature in EWM and it a bridge the gap between the physical data and system to take the corrective actions.

Yes you can include the WPT in the maintain process parameter section to perform the exception action.
But WPT is not mandatory but it can be used to execute the exceptional step if it is needed in the business context.
Suppose repacking steps is needed if material in the business context.
Pick Denial - SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) - SAP Library
Let me know if you need any further any help.

Olet
