Hello Renato.

I got this information from a colleague, which can be released for the customers:

"We agree your concerns about SAP would be in position for sending e-mails on behalf of customer too, since we are acting in terms of spoofing quite similar as it every SPAMer can do (utilizing customer domain in RFC5322.From).

How do we differ against SPAMer?

- We are segregating the business-emails channel (transactional, unique content in every e-mail) against mass e-mails (newsletter and campaign, similar content in a huge amount of emails) by utilizing focused external service providers (ESP) for processing these type of messages.

- Each of these ESPs is observing its sending IP addresses for reputation scores, as well as RBL entries, etc.

- They are sending continuously from "warmed" IP addresses.

- We are sending with tenant dedicate domain RFC5321.MailFrom (aka. envelope-from), while applying related HELO/EHLO values in e-mail header.

How we are processing mass-emails (Marketing)?

- SAP is sending (RFC5321.MailFrom) from SAP own technical domains, such as "myxxxxxx.infomail.crm.ondemand.com"

- HELO/EHLO is repsenting SAP own servers which are running in same domain

- Domains are valid and routable in the Internet

- SAP is applying custom domain in RFC5322.From

- MX-RRs are pointing to related inbound path

- SPF-RRs are applied by default which are authorizing ESP provider sending IP addresses fpr semdomg w/ related domain (envelope-from)

- DKIM sugnature applies for custom domain, mainly for reputation purposes

As a conclusion: Our experiences while providing e-mail capabilities in C4C for a while is indicating that our design works solid w/o causing reputation issues at customer side."

I hope it helps you.
