Tx iview using Integrated ITS is not able to start defined transaction code

Former Member

Dear All,

I am having a very strange problem with integrated ITS. i have activated integrated ITS in my WEBAS 6.40.

I am able to test servcies from SICF also.

Then i have defined a system targetting

ITS host name: <Server>:1080

ITS path : /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/

i have put backend server details also in connector.

I defined a user mapping in uer management. also defined a alias for the same.

Now when create a SAP transaction iview using this system and i test it. It's not picking the transaction Id, it opening "SAP Easy Access" ..

Can you please help me out, if i am missing something here.

Thanks for your time,

Regards,

Sudhir

Hi Sudhir,

What is the logon method for your system you defined?

Have you tried if the transaction iView works fine without the user mapping and with logon method UIDPW ( -> This will ask to logon to the R/3 before the transaction will show up but at least you can see if it's working or not. )

Hi Ville,

I have defined ITS server and Connection parameters for this syste,. And logon method is "UIDPW". i remoed user mapping and then tested. For WinGui based transaction(which use this system) it asked for user and password and but for webgui based transaction it did not asked for any password.

But it taking me to

SAP Easy Access - User menu for <logged user in portal(which is same user in backend also>

just for your info, i have established SSO with backend server.

if you are using wingui the application parameter should be

SAP_TCode=ME23

for webgui

~transaction=ME23

I want to use webgui only, i have created an iview with following parameters:

System -> Integrated ITS system

Transaction -> webgui

Application parameters-> ~transaction=pv7i

its taking me to logon screen but even after successful logon it promts for logon screen again...

in a endless loop..

any clue..

these are the prerequisites:

system definition with WAS host path settings (with fully qualified domain name)

ITS host path settings

and while creating SAP transaction iview use sapgui for HTML (if you want to use ITS)

and specify the transaction.

also for SSO to work you should have maintained the following profile parameters

login/accept_sso2_ticket 1

login/create_sso2_ticket 1

Hi Raja,

I have already done this. SSO settings are also working fine for ESS/MSS application but when i test the same with some R/3 based transaction i am getting a logon screen. and even after correct logon data, logon screen stays there.. for incorrect logon data, i get appropiate message.

completely at loss of understanding.

Let me give details of parameters of this system:

WAS: <org>.<domain>.com:50000

WAS path: /webdynpro/dispatcher/

was protocol: http

Internal ITS

HOst: <Server>:1080

ITS path: sap/bc/gui/sap/its

ITS protocol: http

Connector property:

application server: server name

and other details are maintained.

Now i am using same system and i have created a a webgui based iview. i have Defined transaction code.

There was another suggestion to put webgui at place of transaction, and give ~transaction=<trnsaction_code> in application parameter.

this is failing in both cases.

the definitions you showed me didnt look fine.

change it as follows

WAShost: <WAS ABAP engine host>.<domain>.com:<wasabapengineport>

WAS path: /sap/bc/bsp/sap

was protocol: http

Internal ITS

HOst: <Server>.<domain>.com:1080

ITS path: sap/bc/gui/sap/its

ITS protocol: http

Hi Raja,

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have created a new system and assigned properties as told by you.

i hope <wasabapengineport> is the same port which is defined in SMICM for http. its 1080 in our case.

I have given WAS and ITS and created a fresh iview.. error persist... logon screen is never ending.

Sudhir

Funny part is that i am able to create an IAC based iview and that is working perfectly fine.

Just a stupid doubt, if we are not supposed to use integrated ITS for transaction based iviews??

though i am sure this should not be the case..

ut just in case..

Integrated ITS is for transaction iviews - when you specify the gui type as SAPGUI for HTML you need ITS webgui service for rendering transactions.

in your case, when you say that the iview doesnt go to the transaction but it goes to the easy access menu.

did you try this outside portal environment to make sure everything works fine.

just call the following url in the browser (replacing place holders)

http://<abapwasserver>.<domain>.com:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?~transaction=SE38&sap-client=... no>

and let us know the results.

Hi Raja,

I am able to access the service.

http://<Server_name>:1080/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?~transaction=pv7i&sap-client=800

also when i do a direst test from SICF i am able to test service using

http://<Server_name>:1080/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/pv7i?sap-client=800

Any suggestions,

hi sudhir,

did you enable and tested all the required SICF services?

Try giving port <b>8000</b> in ITS host name.

SK.

Thanks for you reply.

In SMICM i have defined a service with Http protocol and port 1080. I have activated that also. And i am able to host services from SICF.

So i dont see any problem with port 1080. Only when i am creating a system and using it for SAP transactino iview, its failing.

Any other suggestions....
