Analysing System Usage by Business Role

Hi experts,

Has anyone tried configuring a report for usage by business role?

We have a requirement for this as the business wants to analyse system usage for different business roles throughout the business

The usage statistics report (found under Analysis > Usage Statistics) would be the base, but this is an administrative report (if I can call it that) in my understanding.

It is not one that is available from Business Analytics and I cannot find a data source for this report to work with if I want to build a report like this myself

Has anyone else had a similar requirement or tried to build something similar?
