printing for scheduled crystal 2011 reports

we are trying to schedule a report to e-mail and print.

scheduling the report works fine but when we add printing it just seems to get stuck in running status (with a duration of negative seconds).

we added a printer to the server

then under Applications in the CMC --> crystal reports configuration --> Printer list we added information

what exactly is it asking for when it asks for when it says Printer Name and Printer Connection

I assume printer name should match the name of the printer in windows.

the printer is added via tcp/ip port if it matters.

thanks in advance

You need to create the printers by login in to the server using the BOBJ Service Account that start the SIA Services.  Since everything on the BI4 Server is running on behalf of the BOBJ Service Account you MUST make to validate that the printer is accessible to this Domain Account.

At the same time while you are logged into the NT Server with the BOBJ Service Account, now log into the CMC and update you Printers for the Crystal Schedule.

Before you do this, can you open the Crystal Report in CR designer and under Page setup, check the option for No Printer. Then try.

See if that helps

Can you try this:

  1. Login to CMC
  2. Go to Applications >> Crystal Reports Configuration.
  3. Click on Printer list
  4. Under Printer connection, update the printer name only instead of \\printservername\printername as this is a locally added printer.
