Lov Refresh is bringing WPS down

Hello,

We are on Business Objects 4.2 SP3 version, In this version SAP had made many improvements to HTML mode in BI Lauchpad.

We have few webi reports against Hana calculations views , when refreshing the prompt lov we get an error and it is bringing webi processing server down.

This issue happens only in html mode, We don't have this issue in java mode/webi rich client.

To me it looks like product bug, any thoughts?

Thanks

Ram

    Hi Ram,

    Try the following:

    1. Uncheck the option 'Enable Memory Analysis' in the properties of the Webi Processing Servers.

    2. See if the issue is specific to a calculation view or LOV

    3. In the task manager check how much memory WPS is consuming before crashing.

    4. Look for the error message in the Event Viewer (assuming it is a Windows Server)

    5. If the issue persists, capture E2E traces and create a support incident.

    Regards,

    Adil Raj
