Hello Sapients,
I had gone through forum before posting my query regarding the automatic inspection lot creation after expiry date. Every where I came through ,that inspection lot will be created based on the next inspection date in the batch rather than shelf life . But my requirement is that , inspection lot should be generated only after the expiration date is reached but not on the next inspection date . I had maintained inspection type '09' in the material master .If I maintained Inspection interval in the material master, next time inspection date may come before the expiry date where lot will get generated, but I doesn't require lot before the expiration date . For example I had made GRN against PO with qty 500 kgs. Date of GR is 27.09.2016 and the SLED is given as 31.12.2016.If I had given inspection interval as 90 days , inspection lot will get generated on 25.12.2016, but i want the inspection lot to be generated on 01.01.2017 with inspection type 09, I tried with QA07, but when I kept the next inspection date in the batch before the expiry date only lot with 09 is generated , if I change the Next inspection date after the date of expiry , the status of the batch is changed is to restricted but the lot is not being generated.
Pls guide how to fulfill my requirement.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
Hemanth.

Your research is correct. That's how it works.
To get what you want, you'll probably need to consider user exit.
From the wiki referenced below
"If you would like to change this behavior you may review note 954646 where you can use method MAINTAIN_INSPECTION_DATE of BAdI MB_BATCH_MASTER or user exit EXIT_SAPMQEVA_003 to map your own logic"

Hi Hemanth,
QA07 will not create inspection lot based on the SLED. Inspection lot will be created based on the next inspection date. If you want to create inspection lot based on the SLED then you have go for development.
