move configuration data to a new server

hi all,

i am stuck in a typical situation

where i need to transport all data including configuration data and master data to a new server. that is i want to move everything to a new server.

also our production, quality and development server are working fine. this 4th server is employed to test something, which can be done when it is exactly same as our dev or qas or prd. for now, i am trying to make this new server same as development. i know how to transport master data. but the problem is the new server is totally blank ie., there is no enterprise structures, no org units, no number ranges are defined, absolutely nothing is there and just a bit of default things.

i need to know how can i transfer configuration data to a new server

thanks in advance

kriti

Hi ,

It would be better if you, instead of creating from a base & then copying the data to the new, Its better if you go for a System-Copy job. Let us know your SAP Environment. You mentioned as blank, so I was just wondering if you just moved some Transport-Requests in the Target System or did a complete Client-copy job here?

Thanks,

Hi Kriti,

It is possible. You can do this by 'Configuration Data Transfer Export'. Go through below link.

Configuration Data Transfer Export - SAP Manufacturing Execution (SAP ME) - SAP Library

Hope it will solve your query.
