Planned Order Long Text ?

Dear seniors,

I was looking for a Long Text in the Planned Order and I could not find it.

We have this available in the Production Order and I find it weird why is not available in the Planned Order.

Please let me know if there is any way of adding that in the Planned Order, or if I am missing something.

Hi Alex, There is no standard way to have the long text in planned order because it is of no use once you convert it into PO. But if you still want as business need then may be you need to create a custom tcode and custom table to hold the PLAF values and the long text. Lets wait if someone has better solution. Thanks for your response.

The long text from the planned order it has a use in our company.

And yes, you will convert it to a Production Order and the Long Text can flow in the Production Order also.

Hi,

In standard nothing is available you can try for enhancement.

you can ask the ABAP consultat to create an append in table PLAF and a a new field in transactions MD11, MD12 and MD13.

Another sugestion is to create a Z table with the new informations and a report linking it to the planned order number PLAF-PLNUM.

Basis Components -> ABAP Workbench -> Changing the SAP Standard -> Business Add-Ins -> Implementing Business Add-Ins.

Thanks Sandeep for your answer. As far as I knew, long texts are not available in standard SAP for planned orders and I needed a confirmation.
