IDOC error Metadata EDISDEF for port XXXX, IDoc type XXXX and CIM type not maintained

Hi Experts,

Its File to IDOC scenario on our dual stack SAP PI7.3 system

I am unable to process the Idoc from PI to ECC as it is giving error:

Metadata EDISDEF for port XXXX, IDoc type XXXX and CIM type not maintained.

I have searched other threads but was not helpfull in resolving the issue.

Note- I have already tried deleting the metadata and executing as well as re-importing it in IDX2 but could not helped.

any help will be usefull.

Hello Sandip,

If metadata is fine, can you check the correct message type is maintained in Partner profile.

Additionally check the version in port(change it to 4.0 x) and see if it works.

Hi Raghu,

Partner profile is correct in ECC to receive the message type defined.

There was not any port (we21) but only in IDX1 of PI system, I have created new with version 4.0x  but the error remains the same.

Hi Sandip,

If nothing was worked what raghu said why did you marked as helpful, dont mark every reply as helpful, if it is really helpful you can mark them as helpful, it will benfit others in the future whoever experienced the same problem.

Make sure you don't mention anything under segment version in the IDoc receiver channel.

Making the segment version empty solved this issue,

However marked Raghu's comment helpful as I though it was worth to check
