I have a scenario where in
Component -A
Component -B
Component-C
Needs to be planned together and requirement will have to be created only for Component A.
Example -
Component A - Stock available-10
Component B- Stock Available-8
Component C- Stock Available-8
Requirement for Component A is 40. MRP should check stock for B and C and create procurement proposal for 14. Can Alternative item group functionality be used for this and if yes how priority and usage needs to be given?

Hello
There is a DIMP functionality called interchangeability of parts that can be used to address this scenario. Take a look on the documentation below:
Parts Interchangeability - SAP Library
Interchangeable Manufacturer Parts in MRP - Parts Interchangeability - SAP Library

Thanks . We did check on this. Ours is in ECC and the solution mentioned in the documents talks about SCM suite, IS and A&D industry specific solution. I was wondering if this can be achieved in standard ECC ? Hence reaching out to people who can confirm if this functionality of parts interchangeability can be achieved in ECC or does this require implementing SCM or industry specific packages.
