SAP C4C Tickets in offline mode!!

Hi Experts ,

I am trying to work on offline mode of the extended app of the SAP C4C .

I did all the configurations required , and was trying to create  ticket in the offline mode .

When I create a ticket , I see the field Serial ID as read only , and I am clueless why is that so .

That for me is the most important field in offline mode , any idea ??

How to make it editable/is some setting to be done?

Hi,

Determination of Installed Base, Serial ID , product & customer happens only the first time when installation point is selected. To redetermine please relaunch the QC for the Ticket . Same is true for Ticket screen.

also Please assign all Views from Work center Installation Point to the users who need the Serial ID field editable.

Thanks for the solution , I will delete and then sync again.

Have you checked this in offline mode that the field serial ID is available in Edit mode??

Hi Daljeet,

Please find the below link, which provides a list of objects that are supported and not supported in offline mode.

--> For the field Serial ID, its possible only to Display. Creation and Edit is not possible.

I have this document , which clearly states that Serial ID is non editable at this moment , I was wondering how could you have this editable on your offline device.

Hello Daljeet,

Offlien is curently under development.

The first step is to show data on offline; later it will be possible to maintain SAP elements and even later extension data.

Thanks and I totally understand this , but Serial ID is a crucial part , while creating a Ticket , and we need this in editable mode ,

Just to make you aware , the F4/search help in the ticket (QC) is in very bad shape.
