Prompt List of values" -No Value-" error

Hi All,

I'm facing an issue.

I have applied a prompt filter and when I try to refresh the report the prompt pops up with searchable option.

But when I try to search a particular value I'm getting "-No Value-"  PFB

however when I directly add the value without searching the report is getting refreshed successfully.

I want the CEC ID to be searchable rather than typing it manually.

Can anyone assist on this?

Thanks,

Niki

As a first step to check I would suggest you to refresh the LOV without any filter and see if you are getting all the values in the list. If yes then probably the matching string that you are trying to search for is not available.

Hi Niraj,

Yes the values in the list is appearing but when I search I'm not able to find it.

If I directly type the value and refresh the report the report is fetching result and is working fine.

But I need where in the user can search for the user ID

Hi Niki,

Similar to what Amit said, can you just search (as in 1st image) by typing in a or b or c and clicking Enter? You should see all the values that have a or b or c in their CEC ID (upper or lower case doesn't matter).

Can you open the Universe and check the properties of that object (Requestor CEC ID), in the Advanced tab, the option Associate List of Values should be checked.

Hi Mahboob,

I checked the universe and the object properties the Associate List of Values is checked.

I'm able to get the values which contains those alphabets but not the exact CEC ID's which I'm looking for.

If I directly type the value and refresh the report the report is fetching result and is working fine.

Not sure exactly whats the issue.

Hi Mahboob,

I also found one constraint regarding LOV's Please refer the PDF.

The values of the prompts will be based on SID values generated in BI system.

By default value the SID values is set to 50000. This means that only first 50000 SID values will be populated as LOV in prompt

hence when I try to search a value where in its SID value is > 50000 value is present in BI system but not shown in BO prompt LOV's

PFB is the small detail explanation for the same. (Please refer page 5)

Let me know is this applicable for the issue I'm facing wrt searching values in LOV's.?
