Trigger a HCI job using IBP Excel UI

Is there an option to trigger a HCI job using IBP Excel UI, I have heard that you can run a GROUP operator to trigger a HCI job, Can someone please provide more information on this ?

User would like to trigger HCI job when the data is changed in Excel UI.

Hi Zameer,

1. HCI-DS jobs cannot be triggered from excel, at least not out of the box. Please check this blog which describes a possible solution by using custom VBA: http://beelogix.ca/en/leveraging-hci-ds-web-services/
2. The Group operator can be triggered by data import functions at the KF level that is specified within configuration. HCI jobs cannot be assigned in the GROUP operator.
3. HCI-DS jobs can be triggered from IBP application jobs app.

In the meantime, in addition to the application job app, it is also possible to schedule CPI-DS jobs directly from excel.

You can check the help page of IBP on help.sap.com. It is better to get used to navigating through the various components of the help page instead of following the link because the link will most likely get outdated with the subsequent releases. You may refer to SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services template.

Application Jobs -> Create -> Choose Data Integration Using Cloud Integration for data services as Template

Hello

I just want to add that

1) at first you need to enable "configuring the outbound communication with sap cloud integration for data services" via "communication system" and "communication arrangements" sap IBP apps

2) and after you can create Application job using "Data Integration Using Cloud Integration for data services" (/IBP/HCI_DI) template.
