Sap certification

I have 2 years of experience in production/manufacturing sector(Is a end user of sap).

I'm planning to change my career path towards sap & planning to do certification in sap mm module.Is it a right choice?

Please guide me.

I have read it so many times that people are nowadays struggling in sap (speacially freshers like me). If not sap than what?
