service Market place view changed

Hi All,

i found it difficult to get a Note based on the search text or error message in the new view of service market place.

if i have a note number, then to get the Note it is very easy, i can do that , there is no issue at all.

The issue is to find a Note, based on the Search Text/ error message etc.. in the search field text wise if i search then the list is so big and also it is not actual as per the text.but previously in the drop down list we can select the areas of a module and search list was very actual.

if you guys know the process to search the note based on the text in the new view , please let me know, Thanks

Do you think you are the only one who got this launchpad and others don't have trouble? We all have to learn to get used to it. I guess you are a consultant if you have access to the marketplace, now you may be able to imagine how your users feel when you replace their legacy system with SAP.

It is part of our job to deliver something new, so why do we then complain when we get something new?

Yes the search result looks different than before, the filter on the last 5 years is just a stupid decision, the time out is ridiculous, the performance not better than the old feature and the UI designer probably thought we are all sitting behind our desk or in a train and do our entire job with a smartphone.

Someone did fail with the test, maybe it was even us who stuck as long as possible to the old way ignoring that it will vanish, and missed to give our feedback early enough to get a better product with go live.

You can find several blogs in 

where it is introduced, where you get tips how to use it and where you also can find feedback how to make that thing better. You have a Contact Us button in the market place  and an option to share your feedback at the bottom of the launchpad.

By the way, you should have asked your question in the right forum, as  this question is not related to SD

Thanks Arno for your Help, your Blog was very useful .

My question is i want to search an Note based on an error message for an example "Transaction Derived from BGM Segment Is Not Supported" in SAP GTS , when i put the error message in the search field and i select Knowledge from the drop down , the output search list is very huge (= 896 results) and to find the proper note is very difficult. unlike in the old view we had a option to select the application areas.

please find the below screen snap for the search query of a case.

Please let me know am i following the correct step to search a note based on an error message or do i need to follow some other process ?

Hi ,

So, you mean to say that you are looking for more filters here. The thing is, as you know that how short is your search, the longer is your search result. That is why we, when use a standard search engine like Google, also use more keywords to get more filtered & less search results. It is true, I have observed everywhere in this world, whenever there is a new system or a upgraded version of work comes, some people even panic. But the fact is once you start using on your own, you get used to it, you also will notice the advantages. For example, like i google chrome search when we type some of the relevant already start popping-up as suggestions, here also the same.

This search process is the same that you are using & it also applies for every one in this world using SAP S-User id.

Hi Santosh,

use combination of words in quotes, e.g. "BGM Segment" will bring it down to 37 hits.
