Cannot Connect To Integration Framework On Windows 8 IE and Edge

Hello All,

I'm at a bit of a loss, we have finally got the SAP B1 Client to connect to the Integration Framework and display the dashboards within the SAP B1 client on our Windows 7 PC's and we can connect the the various portals on all browsers. However, on our Windows 8 machines we cannot connect to the Integration Framework portals on IE and / or Edge but we can on Google Chrome, we also get the error message "Cannot connect to SAP B1 Integration Service" when logging in to the client and the Dashboards do not display.

We have the relevant ports open on the firewalls on both the server and the client, we have even tested it with the firewalls completely turned off. We know there isn't an issue with the Firewall on the server otherwise the Windows 7 machines wouldn't be connecting.

I'm not overly technical so I'm running out of ideas.

Any thoughts / suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

We are using SAP B1 9.1 PL6

Many Thanks

Olie

Not all portals will work.  Especially with Internet Explorer some just don't work and you either have to use Chrome or FF.  Sometimes they only work with certain versions of IE... you never know.

As long as you have a browser to access you should be OK.  You shouldn't have to access the portals all the time.

If you want more tips on doing a clean installation I have a YouTube video showing my process here:  SAP Business One B1i Integration Framework Install and Troubleshoot w/ Mobile SSL Creation - YouTube

Thanks,

Mike

Hello Mike,

Thanks for your reply, I'm trying to connect to the port on the server for the integration framework, port number 8443.

It will connect in browsers like Chrome but not in IE, this is for some reason causing an issue within the SAP B1 client itself causing the below error message.

It works perfectly in Windows 7 just not in any higher versions.

Thanks

Olie

I would recommend following my video since you may have a port conflict.  I show you how to scan the ports...

Secondly, if you have an issue where you are seeing any certificate errors, don't waste your time trying to uninstall the KB.  Use the following:

1. gpedit.msc on START-RUN

2. Expand Computer configuration

3. Expand Administrative Template

4. Network Network

5. Expand SSL Configuration

6. Enable SSL Cipher Order and copy (with thanks to MingBo!) his entry to the front of the Cipher Order.

TIP add a comma to the existing and then copy this in front of the comma.

TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA384,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA,TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA256, TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA,SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA

7. Restart

Not to spam my video but I put a lot of work into it: https://youtu.be/0MWxKcDvbjo?list=PLGq_nmd5fQeouU_VTvPtGVK1Xh0MKTBZt

Uninstall the whole B1i and start from scratch.  You may need to modify the ports to make it work... also to connect to the main B1i framework you should be using port 8080.  If you look in your start menu there will be an item called "Integration Framework" which should point to the non-SSL port (8080).  8443 is typically the SSL port redirected to the non-SSL port.  All management of the B1i should be done on the server directly where the B1i is installed and using port 8080.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Hi,

The above issue may be related to recent windows update. Please find KB3172605 update and uninstall and restart your PC.

Thanks

Hello,

When i got into work this morning I could not connect to the integration framework on the Widows 7 machines either, however, uninstalling KB3172605 worked on the windows 7 machine.

Sadly though there is no KB3172605 on the Windows 8 machines (that i can see anyway) and I'm still unable to connect to the integration frame work on Windows 8 and higher.

Thanks

Olie
