Hi Folks,

Please let me know why I am not able to see "daemon.ini" in HANA Studio using HCP without this I am unable to configure Agent Hostname in HANA DP agent.

Regards

    Hi Naveen,

Is this a MDC (multi database container) instance, like what you can get on hanatrial ? In that case, you indeed don't have access to the deamon.ini file (only available on the master).

You said "without this I am unable to configure Agent Hostname in HANA DP agent." but configuring the DP agent is something you do from the DP agent config tool, not in daemon.ini.

I assume what you try to do is enable the DP server, this is usually done in daemon.ini ?

If you are using hanatrial: you can enable the DP Server from the screen where you request the MDC instance. See step 1 in Step-by-step: Setup SDI for your HCP trial account

If you already have an existing MDC instance, you can also try this (not sure if you will have sufficient authorizations to do this): Enable the Data Provisioning Server - Administration Guide for SAP HANA Smart Data Integration and SAP HANA Smart Data Q…

ALTER DATABASE ADD 'dpserver' AT LOCATION '<add your hostname>'

    Hope this helps.

    Ben.

    Refer to the SAP KBA:

2513922 - Cannot find daemon.ini configuration file from Configuration Tab of HANA studio.
