Hi,

I am seeing multiple agents on a LPAR where many systems are present with common /usr/sap/< SMD SID>/SMD1, SMD2, SMD3, SMD4....

I want to know which SMD agent belongs to existing SID's...to start the agent system wise.

Is there a way to find out...Is SMD agent  maintain the SID for which it has been installed...

I will appreciate all your inputs and help..

Thanks in advance

Hi Daniel,

SMD agent is not specific to any running SID.

Generally we install Multiple SMD agent to connect it with multiple solution manager.

Please find the below SAP note which can guide you for your query.

Hi Daniel,

Go to url http://solmanhost:port/smd/AgentAdmin

Search hostname/servername

Click on the small square box next to the name and choose Connection Statistics

This will give you the SMD agent details and the instance number assigned to the particular SID.

Hi Daniel,

If you want to identify which Diagnostic Agent connected to which system, Goto Managed System Configuration --Assign Diagnostic Agent Step

There you can find which Diagnostic agent is assigned to particular system.
