Database error code 17 is MS's, look on their site for what the error means, CR is simply passing it through to you.

When you say 'Client Workstation', do you mean that you are running the report in Crystal designer ?

Also, does the client workstation has same connection, (ODBC or Native) created and pointing to same Database as the server ?

You need to verify that first, before trying to run the report locally.

More information might help if the above connectivity is already there on client workstation and if it still throwing error. like version of crystal designer etc..

    • Hi Former Member,

You do understand that any service if runs on a port no. then you will be able to telnet from other systems. If the service does not run, then pinging, telnet-ing fails simply. OS matters are generally handed to the OS support team in every company. You can ask your OS team for help in this matter, even if it includes raising a Microsoft call like @Don Williams mentioned.

      Thanks,

      Kaushik
