Desktop connection for SAP CRM Enterprise edition - Enhancement

We have implemented Desktop connection for SAP CRM Enterprise Edition for one of our clients.

Now have a new requirement to extend the same with a new form with a couple custom fields on top of an email to be synced to an interaction log in CRM.

We do see the following from the documentation. Though there are no further details.

"Complete new CRM objects can be enabled for synchronization (custom level)"

Is this something that can be accomplished ?

Are there any pointers on how to get started with the same ?

regards

Srikanth

    Hello,

You can add custom fields via configuration in the IMG. Please have a look at the following for detailed instructions:

    • Appreciate the quick reply John.

We have already added custom fields in the first implementation. So comfortable with that part.

Though struggling to understand how to map an Email in Outlook onto an Interaction Log (or any other business object) in CRM.

Gone through both of the documents and could not get any details outside of syncing accounts/contacts/email/appointment.

How to go about syncing a different CRM object ?

      regards
