How to increase the item cost of inventory items when we ship from one of our warehouses to another?

Anyone know how I can increase the item cost of inventory items when we ship from one of our warehouses to another? For example, we have 5,000 books in a warehouse in Taiwan. We transfer 2,500 of them from TW to the USA warehouse so we can sell in the US. Book has an item cost of $5 in TW BUT it costs me $1,000 to ship books to the US. somehow I need to increase the item cost for the inventory item transferred to the US by the amount of the shipping costs to get the books to the US. How do I do this?
