Excel Export File Format from BI Report

Hi,

Currently we use SAP Portal which connects to SAP BW.

When we export (download) a BW report on the SAP Portal, it automatically gets exported in Excel XLS format.

Is there a reason why this is in XLS format and not XLSX?

Is there a way to get this exported to XLSX automatically instead?

Hi Daniel,

Probably not. The Download code was written prior to the release of XLSX format, and SAP has not been improving Bex Web.

Feel free to write your own code and share same.
