Spreadsheet Component - How to get specific cell value

Dear all,

I am using spreadsheet component as planning template within my current client.

We are using WBS elements for planning.

One of the user's requirements is to be able to create WBS element automatically in source system (ECC).

I have managed to do that in AfO using VBA and a wrapper with some standard BAPIs.

And I wonder whether it could be possible to do the same with Design Studio.

My main problem is, within spreadsheet component, if I select the value of WBS element I'd like to use as template for the creation of a new one, how could I get such characteristic value?

I dont see any method I could use.

The idea would be to get such value and send it to a FM via planning function.

Thanks and Regards,

Francis.

Hi Francisco,

Update your version to 1.6 SP03 which spreadsheet have functionality to display displays multi-dimensional data in a grid with analytic functions.

In addition, the Spreadsheet component offers an easy-to-use function for copying cells and sheet areas.

This means that the spreadsheet is mainly intended for planning applications with input-ready queries

Dear Ketan,

I have installed 1.6 SP03.

Hope you could explain to me this new features.

I am already using Spreadsheet for planning purposes.

My main concern is to be able to select a value of a characteristic, in the spreadsheet, to send it as parameter using a planning function.

Hi Ketan,

After installation of SP3 and reading "what's new" document, I have identified the Onselect event in spreadsheet propierties, and getSelection/getSeletionType methods, that could help me to achieved what I am trying to do.
