*     In wich extention are the files ?

*     If you just need to view the files, ask your admin to give the "opendocument link" then you can get acces in your browser.

Ask them to create a user ID for you and get the BI launch Pad URL from the BO Admin and then without having anything you can open that report from the Browser if you want to open it from repository.

If you want to open the report from your local desktop saved in .wid format then you may have to get Webi Rich Client tool installed in your system that comes as a Client tool under BI Platform Client tool package.

Yes, you would need SAP Business Objects software to open the report. Thats not all, you would need the same version of software in which the report was created.

You would need the Business Objects Client tools (Rich client) or Business Objects Enterprise (server) to open the report.

There are different version associated to Webi. So you need to find out which one corresponds to your report. For eg.

- Business Objects XI 3.1

- SAP Business Intelligence 4.0

- SAP Business Intelligence 4.1

- SAP Business Intelligence 4.2

I dont think looking into the report wont give you that information. From where did you got the .wid file? Might be one who created it can help you out.

Do you use Business Objects? if yes you should have an Admin for the environment. He also can help you out.
