External HANA DB connection

Hi there.

I am trying to set up connection between HANA Cloud Platform and external HANA DB. For now I see only one way to do that - SAP HANA Smart Data Streaming. Unfortunately this service is unavailable for trial HCP edition. Please advise other ways how to connect to external HANA DB ( So I could easily use data from HANA in fiori apps ).
