Hi,
I have modified IBAN number for a house bank account in FIBAN transaction. When I check FI12 - IBAN is updated, however the Bank Account Number is not modified - it stays the last 16 digits of the previous IBAN number.
Is it a good practice to change the House Bank Account Number after IBAN update to match last 16 digits of the new IBAN? I would prefer the bank account number and IBAN to be consistent.
Best regards,
Karol
Hi Karol,
FIBAN Transaction will only update TIBAN Table.so, it will only update IBAN Details. it will not touch BNKA Table where Bank account master data gets stored.
if you need to update Bank account then you have to update it separately through FI12.
Impact of changes should be checked from bankstatement processing point of view. all your old bank statements would be with old account number and new bank statement in order to get it processed with new bank account number you will need to do change in configuration for EBS ( Electronic bank statement) as your bankkey, Bank account number is linked with transaction type for EBS processing.
Hope this is helpful.

If there are already transactions has been made with that Bank account, than you don't need to change it.
As per my knowledge!!
Thanks & regards,
