Report to copy SAP All & SAP New Changes

Hi,

I have created an exact copy of SAP All & SAP New for my team and its already working on other systems. However our concern is that SAP All and SAP New are live profiles. In case SAP All and SAP New changes, we just want to make sure that the customize copy is sync with the current changes of SAP ALL and SAP New. Do you know a report or a way to automatically copy the changes in SAP All and SAP New to its customize copy?

Thanks.

Meo

    Hi,

That's what our major concern is. If there are some changes in the future and how can we proceed with it? Do you know any related report for this?

    Thanks.

    • Like @Tomasz Domanski mentioned you can whenever required can compare using RSUSR050 in SE38. Also would like to add that when you make any changes to the standard objects it does change your SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW also. So as these objects are also, as you mentioned, that you have included in the new Customized Auth-Profile, so there-over also does change. That means whenever you make a change into any object, lets say you have changed the object ti development server & captured in a Transport Request & imported in-to Production Server, so what happens here is before moving the TR, the SAP_ALL or SAP_NEW in PRD system remained in one state & after you moved the TR, the standard SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW in production server changed to a new state. So ultimately the standard ones are not remaining the same always as the objects inside that gets changed, so if the object is changing that means that same object is in that of your newly created customized Auth-Profile that means following the new change that customized profile also get into the new required form. So, here I am not sure what kind of changes you are trying to mention. If possible, Could you be a little bit more specific with an example, maybe?

      Thanks,

    Hi,

If you do 1:1 copy and want it to be 100% in sync all the time why do you copy at all?

If you change it and later want to synchronize then your changes will be lost, so why bother?

    Hi Tomasz,

    Thanks for the information.

We just wan to ensure that if we remove sap all and & sap new to users and replace it with our customize profiles, they can still access the same objects in the same manner like today even if maybe SAP will create a new object or during upgrades.

    Thanks.

    • See @Romeo Malang, when you have copied SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW to new customized Profiles, then all the roles & authorizations of those profiles are also copied. the objects can also be browsed through

So if SAP upgraded means, these other standard SAP Profiles also may changed. I do not understand that you are already copying the same profile & then also want the changes also to the same new customized profile then why do you copy. Its better that you assign the default SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW only directly to the required users or else copy some required areas only for use purpose to the user's auth. profile & do continue using the same?

Is it that you want that if anything gets changed in the customized auth-profile, then it is not supposed to change the default auth-objects & also the good/required changes in SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW to be migrated/synced automatically in your customized Auth-Profile? If this is the case then, correct me if I am wrong, that the standard SAP Auth-Profiles & your created customized Auth-Profile has to go separate in their own ways.

Did not want to be mean or anything, just a formal query. Sorry, if felt bad.

    Hi Kaushik,

Yes you are correct . I also check the customize profile with SAP_ALL and SAP_ NEW and it has the same content as expected. Just to give you some background, our project is only a test environment and not a production system. For this we always assigned SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW to the users but now we are planning to get rid of this and use a customize profile under our name which is a exact copy of SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW. So we just want to make sure that the customize profile is sync with SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW.

    Thanks.
