CRM campaign: business partners in target group go to salesforce exacttarget.

Our company used SAP CRM with integration with salesforce exacttarget to launch email campaign. Normally, we will create target group in CRM and once we execute the campaign in CRM, the business partners' detail(such as first name, last name, email address, etc) will be exported to a file form and saved temporarily in AL11 SAP directories and then SAP PI will pick this file which contains target group business partners and send to exact target. Then exacttarget can send out email to these target group business partners.

Currently we have additional request, that is: we want to make a number of campaigners(for example our marketing colleagues) to also receive the marketing emails sent from exacttarget. But we do not want to include the campaigners into the target group because this will have impact on the campaign response rate calculation.

So we are thinking about to create a table in CRM where we can maintain the campaigners' detail (such as first name, last name, email address, etc), then when we execute the campaign in CRM, the campaigners' detail will also go to exacttarget and then exacttarget can send out marketing emails to the campaigners which are maintained in the CRM table. In this way, as the campaigners are NOT in the target group, so they will not be included into the response rate calculation. Besides, we can add/remove the campaigners in the CRM table easily and flexibly.

My question is: Can we realize this technically? Since the campaigners are not in the target group, how can the campaigners' detail in the CRM table be transferred to exacttarget? Does anyone know how to realize this technically?

    Hi Season

To make this happen technically outside of SAP Standard would required significant custom enhancements.

One option to take a more standard approach would be to use a separate Target Group to be used for those BP's which are not officially part of the Campaign.

This ensures they get included into the Campaign within normal SAP Standard Processing. Then in terms of managing the response rate you may need some custom adjustments to exclude those Business Partners associated with the "UnOfficial Business Partners.

I would strongly recommend going full custom for this as it will be a lot of work.

    Hope this helps

The existing integration solution in place suggests that the customization is already in place . You will have to just find out the place where the final internal table is filled which is passed to exacttarget. There you can include records from your custom table ( Campaigners ) before it is passed to exact target.

    Hope it helps.
