downgrading from multi source to single source universe IDT

Hi friends

I need to convert one of my multi source universe to single source for various reasons.

I have created a new single source dfx and just need to point it to my existing business layer.

My worry is will it change the CUID of the universe?

Will it impact all the reports which are built on the existing multisource universe??

Hi,

You will need to change all the object's SQL individually. Single Source and Multi-source unx have different syntax.

changing the data foundation will not change the CUID of the universe.no impact on the existing report until you will make sure all used objects in the reports will map correctly.

For some reason, when I pointed my existing blx to the new single source dfx, it did not pick up the table references...

Now I have to re-map each and every object to the new reference

you can try the option "Find/Replace" in the business layer to replace the table names.

like in existing your mapping is like Table1.Col1..Then you find Table1 First and replace with Like Table2..
