Enabling Recent Activities & Opportunities in Customer Overview Page

Dear Experts,

The business requirement is to add the Recent Activities and Recent Opportunities of the customer in the Customer Overview Page. I tried to add these views in the overview screen in both HTML5 (Edit Master Layout) and in Adaptation Mode. But it is not possible to enable these views in the Overview page.

I tried the same for Opportunity Object, there I am able to drag the Appointments/Tasks to the header view in Adaptation mode, and then from the header I am able to drag and drop it into the Overview page. In the Opportunity Overview Page, I am able to list the recent appointments/tasks.

But somehow this feature is not working for Customer BO. Any clues or hints on how to achieve this??

Hi Siraj,

Please follow these steps.

1. Login to HTML5 UI

2. Select Edit Master Layout

3. Click on Opportunities facet/block.

     a. Hover over the "Search" area under the New option.

     b. This should show the copy button

     c. Select copy

4. Go back to overview page.

     a. Hover over open space you want to paste this section

     b. Select the "select parent" option.  

     c. this should open up the "Paste" icon

     d. Select paste

5. Repeat for appointments object

Hi Grayson,

Thanks a ton for the quick response and the information.

I am able to copy the required views to the Customer Overview Page.

I have another query though - We have created a Custom BO in our solution, and the business wants the list of open custom BO's also in the Overview Page. I tried the same steps as you suggested, I was able to copy the Custom BO search view but when I try to paste it in the Overview Page I do not see the Paste option enabled.

Do you know whether we can follow same steps for the Custom BO too?

Hi Siraj,

Custom Facets can be copied and pasted. Custom BO does not have this flexibility currently.

Please submit as an idea on idea place or raise to the service center if an urgent requirement.
