ERROR in Holding a Document in FB50

Hi Experts,

I tried to hold a document using FB50. Unfortunately, when i click the Hold, an error appeared stating:

Held documents must be converted

DIAGNOSIS: The structure of the document data has changed in the meantime. Before new documents can be held or held documents can be processed, the documents held up to now must be converted.

What does this mean? How can i proceed?

HI Mendoza,

Go to transaction code SE38 enter the report "RFTMPBLU" & press execute button.

After successful execution try to hold the document with temporary document number.

Please try & revert back!!

Will this action affect any existing programs/function in SAP?

No its only report execution!!

NO.

Only one concern if you have a lot of document,

job shall be done as batch.

When job is finished, FI department can start work again.

When i call for SE38, there is an exiting program SAPF080. If i will change this in to RFTMPBLU, does it mean, the prior program will be deactivated?

HI Mendoza,

That is for Mass Reversal of Accounting document, you just change it with your report there is no impact on your system in changing with last executed report

My worry is that, if i will execute RFTMPBLU, all other functions/programs in SAP may misbehave. Wil its execution after the normal functioning of SAP?

Yup, there is no any other effect on your system!! you can execute it!!
